How much speed do you need for Netflix and OTT?
Count the screens that run together in the evening, not the devices you own.
| Speed | Comfortably carries | OTT pack, 365 days |
|---|---|---|
| 100 Mbps | About 5 screens or calls at once | ₹551/mo |
| 200 Mbps | About 10 screens or calls at once | ₹727/mo |
| 300 Mbps | About 15 screens or calls at once | ₹833/mo |
| 400 Mbps | About 20 screens or calls at once | ₹975/mo |
A 4K stream uses about 25 Mbps, and we size a plan at about 20 Mbps for each screen or call busy at the same time. If the picture drops in one room only, that is usually Wi-Fi coverage rather than the plan: wifi not working or slow? Try this checklist. More on streaming at home: broadband for streaming.
