Backup and continuity
One line is a single point of failure. A second line on a different physical route is the only answer that survives a cut.
- Diverse physical routeA different path, not a second cable
- Automatic failoverConfigured against your hardware
- Dual backhaulRedundant links upstream
- One SLACovering both circuits

What redundancy actually requires
Two circuits down the same trench are one circuit with two bills.
- A different path
The second line takes a diverse physical route into the building.
- Automatic cutover
Failover configured against your edge hardware, not a phone call.
- Redundant upstream
Dual backhaul, so a fault beyond your site is covered too.
- Monitored
Our NOC sees the failover happen, usually before you do.
A cut happens somewhere
Fiber gets cut. Roadworks, a contractor with a digger, a pole brought down: the cause varies and the outcome does not. The only protection that works is a second line that does not share the first line’s path, because a spare cable in the same trench fails at the same moment. That is what makes this a build question rather than a product question, and why it starts with a survey.
Two circuits, two routes, one agreement.
Configured and proven at install, not assumed.
The backup carries what has to keep running, not everything.
The same named person for both lines.
What actually happens
Redundancy is only meaningful against a named failure. These are the ones we design for, and one we do not.
- A cut on the primary route
- Failover to the secondary, automatically, on a diverse physical path. This is the case a spare cable in the same trench does not cover.
- A fault upstream of your site
- Dual backhaul carries the traffic another way; nothing changes at your end.
- Hardware failure at the edge
- Covered only if failover is configured against a second device. Worth deciding at survey, not after.
- A power cut at your site
- Neither line helps. That is a UPS question, and we would rather say so than sell a second circuit for it.
Deciding what the backup has to carry
The instinct is to buy a second line the same size as the first. That is rarely the right answer. During a failover the question is not whether everything still works, but whether the things that earn money still work.
In most businesses that is a short list: card payments, the booking or billing system, voice, and email. Streaming video, large backups and software updates can wait for the primary to come back, and deliberately letting them wait is what keeps the secondary affordable.
Test it. A failover that has never been exercised is an assumption. We prove it at install, and it is worth repeating after any change to your firewall or router, because that is where a working arrangement quietly stops working.
Continuity questions
Is a second line from another provider better?
Sometimes, and we will say so. Two providers protect against one provider failing; a diverse route protects against the cable being cut. Which risk matters more depends on your site, and the survey is where that gets decided.
Does failover happen automatically?
Yes, when it is configured against your edge hardware at install. We test it then rather than assuming it.
Does the backup carry full speed?
It carries what you size it to carry. Many sites buy a smaller secondary that keeps the critical systems running rather than paying twice for full capacity.
What does the SLA cover?
Both circuits, under one agreement. See the SLA for the committed figures.
Organisations already on our network
91 businesses and institutions across Maharashtra run on Gazon connectivity, grouped here the way our own capability deck groups them.

What happens when it cuts?
Tell us the address and what has to stay running. The survey establishes whether a diverse route is available, and it is free.
Where Gazon is available
Internet leased lines and business bandwidth reach anywhere in India, with established presence in 14 Maharashtra cities. Each circuit is surveyed and quoted for the address. Home broadband is a separate and shorter footprint: see home coverage.
