1What a home connection is for
A residential plan is sold for use by a household at the address it was installed at. Everything a household does (streaming, calls, gaming, working from home, cameras, a dozen devices at once) is ordinary use, and none of it needs permission.
Three things are outside it: reselling the connection or any part of its capacity, running it as a public or paid hotspot, and operating a commercial service over it that a business connection would otherwise carry. If the last one describes you, bandwidth for business is the product, and it is not an upsell: it comes with an uptime commitment a home plan does not.
2Unlawful use
A Gazon connection may not be used to commit an offence under Indian law. That includes the obvious (unauthorised access to systems, distribution of material that is illegal to distribute, fraud) and it includes anything our licence conditions under the Department of Telecommunications require us to prevent.
We do not monitor what subscribers do with their connection, and we do not inspect traffic. Where we are served a lawful order by an authority entitled to make one, we comply with it and with nothing beyond it. The privacy notice sets out what we hold and for how long.
3Network abuse
Sending bulk unsolicited email, running scans or attacks against other networks, spoofing addresses, and anything that degrades service for other subscribers are all outside acceptable use. These are rare, and they are usually a compromised device rather than a decision, which is how we treat them first.
4What we do about it
In almost every case the first step is a call. A compromised router or an infected machine is fixed, not punished, and we will help you find it.
Where use continues after that, or where an order requires us to act immediately, a connection may be suspended. We will tell you why, in writing, and the grievance process applies to that decision exactly as it does to any other complaint: Nodal Officer first, Appellate Authority after.
5Reporting abuse
If a Gazon address is the source of abuse directed at you, write to contact@gazonindia.com with the logs and timestamps in UTC or IST, and we will act on it.
